We are deeply saddened by the news that our founder Olive Miller OBE passed away peacefully at The Pines on the afternoon of Tuesday 19th May.
Miss Olive founded the Pink Ladies Volunteer Corps in September 1980 and throughout our forty year history she has been the guiding light and heart and soul of our organisation.
We will miss her sharp mind, quick wit, generous heart, wise counsel and her absolute commitment to and love of the people and community of the Cayman Islands. She never ceased to find ways and means of helping those in need and her contribution to the Cayman Islands is unsurpassed.
In this our 40th year of service, Miss Olive, at the age of 98 years, was once again at the helm of Pink Ladies and prior to her brief illness was planning and looking forward to the celebrations of this milestone in our history.
Our thoughts are with her family and close friends at this sad time. Along with the many, many people she has helped and guided throughout her long life we thank her for all that she has done.
She has been an inspiration to all of us and we will miss her terribly.
